Thank you, thank you everyone

this year was so much fun

And the teachers are the best

when we don't have any tests

Nyt on kesä

ja puussa linnunpesä.

Aurinko paistaa

ja mehiläiset kukkia voi haistaa.

We will have fun 

in the sun

and we won’t have homework, 

no!

Talvi jo tökki

nyt on kesämökki.

Mökin pöydällä on mehukannu

ja liedellä pannu.

And if it rains

we will play

and now that it’s June

we can travel to the moon!

Kaupassa aurinkorasvaa tarjotaan,

ja se ostetaan!

Koko kevään rahoja haalin,

en saanut kuin varhaiskaalin. 

Pois päästä villamyssy,

tilalle vesipyssy!

We’ll eat ice creams

and play in a big team,

and you can swim in the seas

even though there are bumblebees!

Saisinko yhden limonadin?

Ja tötterön, mä vaadin!

Kesällä voi syödä jäätelöä

mut jos syöt liikaa, aivoista tulee hyytelöä.

Kas tuossa on kuuma grilli,

ja limonadissa pilli.

 

In our summer holiday,

We will play everyday!

And if we travel too far

then we might see a star.

I’ll travel to a secret valley

called Diagon Alley!

There will be lots of magic flowers 

that might give us superpowers

Nyt on parasta aikaa, 

kun kesä oveen jo kolkuttaa.

Uimaan voi jo lähteä,

ja kukkiin sukeltaa.

Mikä on parempaa

kuin kesään nukahtaa?

I can't wait for the summer

and although Covid is a bummer  

I wish to discover 

a beach filled with clovers!

Lomalla voi ulkoilla 

ja viltin päällä makoilla.

Voi järvessä pulikoida

uida kuin koira.

Onneksi on hyvä muisti,

ei saa unohtua aamu-uinti. 

This summer I would like to bake

so that we can eat a cake

and later we’ll go swim in the lake.

Ei koulua

Ei joulua

Mikä on soma? 

No loma!

The Corona will go away 

 and we’ll enjoy our summer days!
